Prize for Rent! Dudley Council tenants could be £100 better off by the end of the month – providing they pay their rent on time. The campaign has been designed to encourage prompt payment of Council rents during the New Year period. By making a rent payment during January tenants will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win £100 worth of Merry Hill shopping vouchers. The vouchers can be exchanged at any store within the Merry Hill complex. Rent payments can be made at any Area Housing Office, at the Post Office, or at any PayPoint outlet. Rent can also be paid online at www.dudley.gov.uk, and through Dudley Borough Direct, Tel. 01384 818283, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Commenting on the campaign, Lead Member for Housing Councillor Mike Evans said: ‘At this time of year, with extra pressures upon many households, it’s easy to allow bills to slip. I hope our campaign will be a helpful reminder to Council tenants to pay their rent on time. And as an incentive we are pleased to offer £100 worth of Merry Hill vouchers. It’s also our way of saying thank you to the majority of our tenants who do pay their rent on time all year round.’ ‘I’m sure that many tenants would find this a practical and welcome New Year prize, and everyone who has made a payment in December or will be making one in January will automatically be entered into the draw.’ --> |
