Busy Summer for Gornal Band
NSSH Sax Appeal
|
Gornal's own Not So Super Heroes, who we last covered when they triumphed in the grand final of the Robin's
Battle of the Bands,
appeared at Wolverhampton's Little Civic last Friday (21st May)
to kick off
a frenetic summer's gigging.
On Spring Bank Holiday Monday 31st May they will be playing at Eddys No. 8 in Birmingham. There are 30 bands
playing on
three stages, with the Supers on at 9.35 pm. Tickets are £4 in advance by contacting NSSH
at www.supers.co.uk or calling 07979 592745.
Next on the list will be a headline gig at Rock Cafe on 2nd June. We're reliably informed that last time they were there
you couldn't have got another person in the room, so a good crowd is expected once again.
NSSH are supporting The Beat in June and also Bad Manners in July. If all goes to plan there's a tour
in July with Amazing Willie & The Treehouse Gang - and then in August they are squeezing in a trip
to Florida with shows planned in Ybor City, Tampa Bay and St Petersburg.
The guys have also appeared on Ben Turner's Radio WM show recently and must have caught his eye because he
name checks them at every opportunity. Their heady ska/funk/rock mix also has the Yampy seal of approval of
course, so why not get along to their site for audio and video samples, as well as the chance to own their ep
'Too Camp for Comfort' and other band merchandise.
