Loads of Great Beer - £1.80 per Pint!
(this is headline heaven!)
Jolly Crispin

Real ale connoisseurs' haven the The Jolly Crispin in
Clarence Street launches a 9 day long "Festiv'ale" today (30th Jan) to celebrate two years in charge
for owners Julie Rowe and Stuart Griffiths. Forty different beers will be featured, all at £1.80 per pint,
and food will be available.
In the last nine months around 340 different ales from a hundred or so breweries have found their way onto the
Crispin's taps, and Julie has written to the Guinness Book of Records to see if there is a category for this feat.
"I'm sure there must be large pubs around who could match or beat us" she told Yampy "but at the very least it
would be nice to have a figure to aim for!".
The Festiv'ale runs until Saturday the 7th February 2004. For further information about the pub and its real ales,
including directions and 'in the cellar' lists, visit their
website at www.jollycrispin.co.uk.
