Peacocks Sign Off Season in Style
Gornal
Athletic maintained their winning ways right to the end of their Championship
season last night (Wed 14/5/04) with a 2-1 home victory over Leominster to
round off the 03/04 campaign.
The lads from Garden Walk finished top of the West Midlands League Division 1 South
by a solid eight points and can look forward to Premier League action after the summer
break.
With just four losses in thirty two games and a miserly 13 goals conceded,
Joint Managers Tony Wall and Martin Thomas and all of the playing staff deserve
our congratulations and best wishes for an equally successful 2004/05. Well done also to
the Youth Team who matched the senior side's achievement by topping their table.
