Carpenters Choir seeks Local Kids
Do you have a budding child star in the family?
Here's the chance for local children to share the stage with what is billed as the world's finest tribute to Richard
and Karen Carpenter. Matthew Jones Productions are in search for talented young singers aged 6 to 16 to take part
in this exciting production heading for Dudley's Town Hall in June.
The internationally acclaimed vocalist Solveig Borgen fronts the show with a sensational 20-piece orchestra under the
Musical Direction of Matthew Jones.
The Children's Choir play a huge part in the show that features such timeless classics as 'Please, Mr. Postman',
'Close To You', 'Goodbye To Love', 'Top Of The World', and many, many more!
Taking part in the production will mean attending a short, informal audition this Sunday (16th May) in Birmingham
and for those who are successful, attending two rehearsals prior to the show.
As the closing date is fast approaching, parents should call Jenny Sloan, Choir Co-ordinator on 01564 770312 for an
application form.
Tickets to see 'The Carpenters UK' at The Town Hall are available from the Box Office on: 01384 812812. Early booking
is highly recommended.
