OLD CHAINYARD sponsorship support
Well done to Coseley pub The Old Chainyard for forging new links (ouch!) with the local community.
The pub has got right behind a new kids' football club, Gornal Girls FC, by sponsoring their home shirts. The grateful team will be sporting the pub's name on their kit as they take part in the new Stourbridge & District girls only football league.
On the 21st September 2005 the pub also hosted a sponsored penalty shoot-out in the beer garden, to raise additional funds. The girls took the opportunity to present landlord Katie with a replica shirt - which she was later seen proudly wearing behind the bar.
