MUSIC at the Golden Lion
..Daisy Roots Folk & Acoustic Club
Yampy music lovers are urged to spend a Wednesday evening at the Golden Lion pub at Daisy Bank.
The Daisy Roots Folk and Acoustic Club started around three months ago. It meets every Wednesday evening at 8.30 PM, operating on a weekly raffle with admission and even food free of charge.
Spokesman Terry told us:
"We are doing quite well with a regular audience of between 30 and 45 every week. We are a 'singers' folk and acoustic club in that anyone who comes and can perform, has a chance to do a floor spot. We welcome ALL types of acoustic music not just 'folk'. We do not have over amplified music, backing tapes or drums/bass. Musicians and singers of all levels of ability."
